1st Day of School for Preschool (M/W Class) - Wed., Sept. 8th
Black Hills Christian Academy Mission Statement BHCA strives to provide an academically excellent education in a caring non-denominational Christian environment that is firmly grounded in Biblical principles, to share freely the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to guide each student in the development of his or her God-given talents and abilities.
BHCA History The Black Hills Christian Academy, formerly Belle Fourche Christian School, began in the fall of 1992. Since that time our enrollment and our vision for the school has continued to grow and develop, with the Lord’s blessings.
BHCA Purpose BHCA strives to establish a non-denominational Christian school that honors God in providing a quality education firmly grounded in Biblical principles in a caring environment where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is shared freely.
Academics The academic program includes a strong, non-denominational, Biblically-based curriculum taught in the traditional style with allowances and encouragement for individual learning styles and capabilities. The curriculum concentrates on providing a strong foundation in the basics of language arts, math, the sciences and history. We also include Bible, art, physical education, music, foreign language, and computer classes.
Christian Education Respect and love for God, country, parents, family and others are basic components of education each day. We expect students to demonstrate Christian love for each other and respect for authority at all times. Students receive daily instruction in Biblical principles and encouragement in Christian living. No doctrine that distinguishes a particular church is taught.
Discipline Discipline will be positive and assertive with students and parents aware of expectations, consequences and rewards. Parents will be expected to support the disciplinary philosophy of the school. There will be no spanking or physical punishment of students by staff members. We seek to encourage all students and serve their emotional needs as well as their educational and spiritual needs. Please feel free to let us know how we can help your child.
